Over the 50 years NASA has been running the government has been funding billions of dollars for its experiment and exploration. I am for it because it warns us if anything is going to happen to the earth, provide information about the universe, and their exploration in planets.
In 2007 NASA ask the government to fund them16.8 billion dollars. It is a good use of money because it could warn people in any type of storm. For Example on January 14th, 2008, NASA detected a tropical storm near Vietnam. This would warn people in Vietnam in case of a disaster. Also, their improved animation of storm images is more accurate. NASA also found out why the temperature of the sea surface of the North Coast in June 2005 and 2006 were caused by dust. NASA's government funding also goes to finding out information about the universe.
NASA gives people information about our universe. In recent discovery NASA has found out that even the smallest of Galaxies could make a dark hole. If a near Galaxy produces a dark hole, it could endanger our Solar System. For example NASA discovered that the "Death Star" which is really a black hole "is firing at a close by Galaxy would trigger a burst of star formation in its destructive wave." NASA warned us about it because it is our universe and our Solar System. A dark hole spinning wildly can achieve a growth in its galaxy. NASA receives government funding for planet exploration for Mars.
Recently NASA's funding has been used for Mars. Some of the reasons NASA researching Mars is that it has the features of volcanoes, poler icecaps, canyons, clouds in the atmosphere, and seasonal weather pasterns. The question that NASA has because of its features is that"was life ever on Mars?" Now NASA has send a new rover called Phoenix. It was sent to mars to go to the poler region to "dig up and analyze its icy soil. The Phoenix was sent on August 4th 2007 and is scheduled to land in May 2008.
In conclusion NASA's funding of 16.8 billion dollars in 2007 has been used for good use. It can prevent danger of losing life, information about our Universe and beyond other planets in our Solar System.
